Q: Does Sterling make ADA-compliant showers?
Sterling offers two showers that will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements when installed per the requirements of the Accessibility Guidelines. These showers are not only beneficial for the physically challenged, but for mature homeowners as well. The 39" Transfer Shower and the wheelchair accessible 63" Roll-in Shower both comply with standards set by the ADA. In fact, the 39" Transfer Shower earned a Design and Engineering Award from Popular Mechanics magazine.
The 39" Transfer Shower and the 63" Roll-in Shower are barrier-free to allow for easy entry and exit. Both are spacious and include an easy-to-clean bottom surface. In addition, both fixtures feature a low, accessible, molded-in shelf along the back wall, providing a generous amount of easily reached storage space to accommodate toiletries.
